When I meet new people (both online and offline) I'm always a bit shy and reserved at first, but sooner or later I'll open up and become more relaxed. I have a bad temper but I try to keep my cool. I'm prone to angst, which I suppose isn't completely unexpected considering certain things in my life, but that doesn't mean I write /wrist posts all the time. I can be withdrawn and aloof at times, but I always listen to others and do my best to try to help those who need it. I'm more of a listener than an advisor, though, so that goes how it goes. I can get stressed rather easily, but there's a chance that I can sometimes work better under pressure. Despite all that I'm still a fun-loving, laid-back guy with a sense of humor (who hates the word "fun-loving" for reasons unknown even to himself). At least I sure hope so. I've got many fandoms and I manage to keep up with all of them more or less successfully. (But I never really contribute anything.) I get interested in new things pretty easily and sometimes move over to them from the old interests, but if I once get really into something it's very likely I'll stick with it for a very long time. If not forever. Old habits die hard, you know. I ship. A lot. All kinds of pairings. And I don't think it's a big deal. I think people can ship whatever they want and feel comfortable about it without the need to have any "NOES THIS PAIRING ISN'T POPULAR WHAT WILL MY FLIST THINK" kind of thoughts. Because frankly, that sort of thinking is bullshit. And even if someone actually cares so much about what you ship it doesn't mean you have to care. There are many much more important things than that anyway. I'm no fanbrat, but dude, fagging about fandoms and the like is so much fun. I like to joke about them too, and the more I joke the more I love it. Fandom doesn't have to be so goddamn srs all the time. |
